The Bald Eagle at Salthaven
I’ve become a volunteer web designer/developer for Salthaven.org - a volunteer wildlife rehabilitation facility in Mt Brydges Ontario. After my interview I was invited to photograph some of the birds currently rehabilitating at Salthaven.
This young male Bald Eagle has had a rough start in life. He was rescued and brought to Salfhaven after flying into a powerline, lost one of his wings and an eye. Because of his condition, it would be impossible to return him to the wild, so it in time Brian Salt, the man behind Salthaven hopes to be able to train this eagle for his touring education programs.
When he’s not being trained, this Eagle, (still unnamed) lives in a HUGE enclosure at Salthaven.
